YOUTH CLUBS!
This is a social networking for ages 9-10+/ TEENS. Come
and enjoy being around cool and
creative people like yourself. You don't have to be taking a workshop in
order to be apart of the club. This is a great opportunity for you
meet other kids/ teens to share ideas with, make new friends who have
the same interest as you, critique each
others work, learn from each other, plan field trip
outings, and help with Henley Workshop Events. This is your club you've
been waiting for! There are a variety of club offerings that will
discuss the following: 3D Animation and Modeling, Video Gaming, Fashion
Design, Acting, 2D Animation, Manga &
Anime, Feature Films, and what ever you want to discuss!

Beginner 3D Computer Animation(Intro to 3D Animation 101) Youth should have basic computer
knowledge, software
knowledge not required. Description: Use and learn software,
Autodesk Maya that was used to create Shrek
and Flushed Away. Become a 3d character animator! You will also have a
chance to record your voice for your 3d facial animation. Learn how to
create objects, textures, 3d animation, and see how acting brings
characters to life on the big screen!

Youth

Great
for those who like to draw and want to see their characters come to
life in 3D. Learn the fundamentals of Drawing 101 to create characters
that will be transformed in to 3D Characters. Learn how to extrude,
vertexes, snapping, merging, split polygons, scene setup with image
planes, and more. See how 3D animated characters on TV are built!

Intermediate
3D Computer Animation (PART 1, PART
2,PART 3) Youth
should have basic computer knowledge, software knowledge IS REQUIRED Description: Part 1
is a continuation of beginner's 3D Computer Animation. Learn walk and
run cycles, Animation whole body movements based on the principles of
animation, and continue to develop your skills as 3D Character
Animator. Part 2, is a
continuation of Part 1, animate a dialogue with two characters or more
for believable character animation, develop your skills for animation
that is seen in feature films, televisions today. Part 3,
is a continuation of Part 2. Produce top quality animation that can be
used for demo reels for college, and/or freelancing. Learn Rendering in
Post-Production, and Video Editing/Compositing.

Beginner 2D
Traditional Drawing Animation -
Using Light Boards Techniques
Youth
should have basic computer knowledge, software knowledge not required. Description:Learn
how to create tradition animation Using Light Boards to produce Disney
Style animation! Develop and grow your skills as 2D Animator. This
class is ideal for youth who draws on their on time at home, but also
great for kids/teens who need as introduction to drawing. Kids/Teens
will create moving pictures in a two-dimensional environment, such as
through "traditional" cel animation.
Sculpture
Class
Youth should have basic computer knowledge,
software knowledge not required. Description: Designed
for those who want to take there skills to the next level. You'll
have a great time creating abstract sculptures, and their own
superhero/made up animated character, or self portrait sculpture. By
taking sculpture it helps you to see whats going on in 3D software,
because in software you cannot touch the 3d objects, so taking
sculpture class helps you to "think" 3 dimensional. This class will not
use the computer, only will be making sculptures which helps them to
better understand 3d objects, wrap they mind around how 3d really
works, so you can become better Animators and 3d modelers.
Intermediate
3D Modeling (Box Modeling Techniques for Video Game Characters)
Youth
should have basic computer knowledge, software knowledge not required. Description:Take
your 3D Modeling skills to the next level; this is the first step into
an introduction for creating characters for a real production
environment. Youth will be creating of a low polygon model of a head
for a game environment. Subjects will be covering anatomy, polygon
component modeling, and poly count.

Description: Use software Autodesk Maya to
create 3D environments for video games. This
includes background concept art, vehicles, monsters, creating storyline,
creating
environments such as laboratory, a ruined city, a faraway planet or a
combination of several different worlds for your own video game
concept. You'll will participate within a team working in a production
environment with job roles, such as team leader, storyboard artist,
prop designer, 3d modeler, 3d Animator, and more!

Claymation

Make
revolutionary animation by using Clay to bring your characters to life.
Includes stop motion techniques and video editing skills that are
essential in video production world today. Also Storyboarding is used
to develop a series of sketches that are used to describe the work of a
video segment, for movie, tv
series, ect
Manga/Anime
Character Design
Youth should have basic computer
knowledge, software knowledge not required.
Description:
Lessons on drawing both American comic book and manga/anime styles
characters.Drawing 101 is included to develop your child's drawing
skills and techniques.
Also kids will learn Adobe Flash, an industry standard software for
creating 2d animations, and get experience using Light Boards to do
traditional animation!

Digital
Film Making Youth should
have basic computer knowledge, software knowledge not required. Description: Youth
will create professional movie with a story idea of their choosing,
write a mini script, and learn how to digital film their movie. Will
learn video editing techniques by using professional software Adobe
Premiere Pro. Youth job roles include, storyboard artist, camera
operator, Director, Actors, and More! This class is great for those
who want to create professional movie and video editing, and experience
real job training

Scrapbooking (Youth and Adults) Join
the Scrapbooking class to learn something new or if your a veteran in
the subject, then you will meet great people who enjoy scrapbooking as
much as you. Discover new techniques and themes. Topics to be covered
are paper choosing, embellishments, mats and frames,punch art,
stampings, patterns, and more depending on the theme of your choosing.
All you need to bring is paper trimmer, scissors, adhesive, a
journaling pen, a 1/8" hole punch, some photos and a carrier to put them
in.
Photography Youth should have
basic computer knowledge, software knowledge not required. Description:
Photography
students will shoot production stills on a digital camera. Youth are
introduced to an array of digital photographic techniques used in the
studio, on location, and in post-production techniques. Students will
learn how to editing their photo's in Adobe Photoshop. Field trip days
maybe integrated in the class so kids/teens can get a variety of shots.
Students are required to bring their own point and shoot camera.

Acting / Improv Acting
is
as
much of a business as it is a craft. In addition to training,
successful actors must develop strong marketing skills in order to
build a career. These classes focus on such topics as feeling
comfortable at cold readings, and developing a career strategy. Class
also
includes Monologues Preparation that often used for auditions. Actors
must learn the self-discipline to work individually, without relying
a scene partner for inspiration. Techniques include: choosing
monologues that are truthful, meaningful, and revealing, performing
script analysis on monologues, staging and directing oneself, and
developing both outer and inner focal points.

Fashion Design - Drawing
Class/Illustration Youth should have basic computer knowledge,
software knowledge not required. Description: Learn
the nuts and bolts of designing clothing and accessories.
Fashion sketching is where it all begins for most fashion designers.
You'll learn to apply basic drawing skills to the fashion figure, with
an emphasis on proportion. Also, enjoy learning how to use
pencil,charcoal, and acrylic paints for drawing a spring fashion line.
